Four-time world ice climbing champion Ines Papert was actually a late developer: born in Saxony, she only started climbing at all after moving to the Berchtesgaden area of Bavaria to take up a job as a physical therapist. She quickly graduated to major peaks such as Mount Aconcagua, the highest mountain in South America. Now, the 38 -year-old climbs professionally.
